Function / Purpose:It was made by Nishikawa Factory and donated by Taiwan Bank Printing Co., Ltd.
For traditional typography, types were arranged according to the original texts. After composing the make-up, ink was applied on it and paper was covered onto it in order to make a proof to see whether the content was correct or not. During the process, the hand-operated letterpress proofer was used to make sure that the ink was properly impressed onto the paper. With its stylish appearance, the letterpress proofer was a witness for the history of typography. -
